It’s stylish, not vulgar: Ragini
Ragini Dwivedi has never had a busier birthday. The actress is zipping across town promoting her second film Shankar IPS, which released last week. “I’m already receiving lots of gifts, what with people calling me and appreciating my performance in the film,” an elated Ragini tells BT.
This is the actresses’s second film after Veera Madakari. In the interim, she shot for a Tamil film titled Ariyaan, after which she started work on Shankar IPS with Vijay.

In fact, right after she gets back from a week-long break, she will start shooting with Vijay again for Veerabahu. There are also reports that she will share screen space with Sudeep in another film, and she is also working on the details of a film opposite Diganth. But she says the one actor that her fans want to see her opposite is her Gandede co-star, Chiranjeevi Sarja. “There are a lot of expectations from us now. Both of us look good together, but I’ve always worked well with the actors I’ve been paired with so far,” she says.
The former Miss India contestant has upped her glam quotient in a steamy song sequence with Vijay, which is supposed to be the highlight of Shankar IPS.
It’s a hot song, which has been conceptualised very well. It’s extremely stylish, not vulgar,” she maintains, adding that she’s confident she can pull off a glam image: “I have the confidence to carry it off. I don’t have to work hard to look hot. Ragini and glamour go together,” says the actress.
So, is this the only way to climb the Sandalwood ladder? “I don’t think so. Glamour is not about the clothes you wear and the amount of skin you show. It’s the attitude and confidence that matters. Besides, I’ve proved that I’m a complete package of acting skills and glamour,” she asserts.
